Motorola X70 Air Pro: New certification and periscope telephoto camera

Motorola will soon launch two high-end smartphones: the Motorola X70 Air Pro in China and the Signature worldwide. Both will be powered by the recently unveiled Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset powered. Therefore, we assume that it could ultimately be the same device sold under different names in different markets. The same thing just happened with the base model Moto X70 Air, which is being sold worldwide as the Edge 70.
Motorola X70 Air Pro undergoes TENAA certification before its official announcement
The Motorola X70 Air Pro was certified for sale in China today by the Chinese regulatory authority TENAA. The listing confirms the chipset, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5. The smartphone supports 5G and measures 162.1 x 76.4 x 7 mm, weighing 187 g.


The Motorola X70 Air Pro features a 6.78-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels and a battery with a nominal capacity of 5100 mAh. However, the actual capacity is stated to be higher. The X70 Air Pro is offered with 8, 12, or 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of storage.
It features three 50MP cameras on the back, one of which is rumored to be a periscope telephoto lens. A second 50MP camera is available for selfies. An in-display fingerprint scanner is also included. The X70 Air Pro is expected to launch with Android 16.

Shortly after Christmas, Motorola already released a teaser for the market launch of the Moto X70 Air Pro. Motorola has now revealed further details about the upcoming device. In a Weibo post, Motorola released another teaser. While the release date is still unknown, the teaser confirms that the smartphone will feature a periscope telephoto camera.
The Moto X70 Air Pro will feature a triple rear camera and offer various AI-powered enhancements. The Moto X70 Air, on the other hand, had a dual rear camera.
It is also expected to support 90-watt fast charging and be equipped with the as-yet-unannounced Snapdragon 7+ Gen 5 chipset.
