The Realme 16 Pro series will be unveiled in India on January 6th. Ahead of the launch, Realme has already teased some key specifications of the smartphones and has now confirmed further details about the Pro variant.

Realme 16 Pro cameras

The main camera uses Samsung’s 200MP HP5 sensor (1/1.56 inch) with an f/1.8 aperture, while the Pro+’s telephoto camera relies on Samsung’s JN5 sensor. An ultra-wide-angle lens is also included. According to the press release, the Pro+ thus offers “a full-range imaging system supporting 0.6x to 120x zoom, providing maximum flexibility for portrait, street, and telephoto photography.”

The 200MP main camera supports “full-pixel auto zoom as well as lossless 1x and 2x zoom.” The Realme 16 Pro+’s main camera is powered by the recently introduced “advanced algorithmic innovations” of LumaColor Image technology. These enable “full-dimensional skin tone optimization, optical depth-of-field fusion, and reconstruction of person and scene lighting,” resulting in “every photo appearing realistic, detailed, and with vibrant lighting.”

Realme has officially unveiled the cameras of the 16 Pro and 16 Pro+. They feature class-leading HyperRAW, InstantSnap, and Anti-Distortion algorithms, resulting in sharper details, more stable dynamic shots, and less edge distortion across the entire focus area.

The Realme 16 Pro+ supports 4K HDR video recording at 1x, 2x, 3.5x, and 7x zoom, as well as dual-focal 4K video at 60 fps with 1x and 3.5x zoom. The front camera also supports 4K at 60 fps.

MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G chipset

The company has also confirmed that the 16 Pro will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max 5G chipset. The smartphone features an AirFlow VC cooling system and is said to have scored over 970,000 points in the AnTuTu benchmark.

It will be equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery and a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 6,500 nits. The smartphone will run realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 and include AI features such as AI Capture, AI Framing Master, and Google Gemini.

The Realme 16 Pro will be available in Master Gold, Pebble Gray, and Orchid Purple. It is also IP69 dustproof and waterproof.
