Huawei Pura X2 with Kirin 9030 chip coming in Q1 2026

It seems Huawei’s experiment with different form factors has been so successful that a successor is on the horizon. According to a new rumor from China, the company is already working on the Huawei Pura X2.

It is expected to be released in the first quarter of next year, between January and March. It will reportedly feature an in-house chipset, in this case, a Huawei Kirin 9030.
This is the logical next step, as the first Pura X was equipped with the Kirin 9020. Unfortunately, no further details about the Huawei Pura X2 have leaked yet.
The Huawei Pura X was unveiled in March as a completely different foldable smartphone than any we had seen before. It’s a “vertical” foldable, similar to flip models, but when unfolded, it has a very unusual 16:10 aspect ratio, making it wider than any flip model released to date.
