Honor Watch X5 unveiled with large 1.97-inch AMOLED display

The Honor Watch X5 features GPS, tracks over 120 different sports and is available with two wristband options.

The Honor Watch X5 was just unveiled in China alongside the Honor 500 series. Honor’s latest smartwatch features a GPS antenna and tracks over 120 sports modes. It also boasts a 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels, 2.5D curved glass, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The smartwatch weighs 29g without the strap and is IP68 + 5 ATM water-resistant.

The watch case is made of an aluminum alloy, while the back is plastic. The case features a single button with a rotating crown for operation.

The Honor Watch X5 is equipped with various sensors, including a heart rate sensor (PPG) for activity tracking. It supports 120 sports modes, sleep monitoring, cycle tracking for women, and has built-in GPS.

For connectivity, the Watch X5 offers Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC. It has a magnetic charging port. The smartwatch offers an always-on display mode, Bluetooth calling, a remote camera shutter function, and a “Do Not Disturb” mode.

Regarding battery life, Honor states that the Watch X5 lasts up to 14 days with typical use and up to 5 days with the always-on display enabled. The smartwatch also features a microphone and a speaker. It works with both Android devices (9.0 or higher) and iOS devices (13 or higher) and is available with a black or white silicone strap.
