Honor 500 series unveiled with Snapdragon chips and huge batteries
The Honor 500 series has been officially launched in China, featuring a redesigned look with clear Apple-inspired elements, as well as some key technical improvements over the Honor 400 models.
Although none of the new Honor smartphones are as thin or light as the Apple iPhone Air, they impress with stunning cameras and powerful batteries. Both versions of the 500 series feature aluminum frames and glass backs. They are 7.8 mm thick and weigh 198 g and 201 g respectively. Honor continues to rely on the proven robustness of its predecessors with full IP68 and IP69K protection.

Both models feature 6.55-inch LTPO OLED displays with a resolution of 1,264 x 2,736 pixels, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a maximum brightness of 6,000 nits. Both smartphones are also equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 50-megapixel selfie camera.
Honor 500 Pro
The main differences lie in the chipset and the camera. Here, the Honor 500 Pro has the edge thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, which is combined with up to 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, while the standard Honor 500 model is equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip. is.
Both versions of the Honor 500 feature a 200 MP main camera (1/1.4″ sensor) and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle lens on the back. The 500 Pro also offers a 50 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
Both smartphones run MagicOS 10 based on Android 16 and have 8,000 mAh Si-C batteries with 80-watt wired charging. The Pro model also supports 50W wireless charging, and both smartphones support reverse charging up to 27W.
The new Honor smartphones are available in Aquamarine, Stardust (Pink), Moon Silver, and Obsidian Black. Both smartphones are available for pre-order now. The first deliveries are expected to begin on November 27th.
