The nubia V80 design was quietly launched today in several markets. This is the same model that also appeared in a leak today as ZTE Blade V80 Vita. It may therefore be available under a different name in other markets.

The smartphone features a 6.75-inch LCD display with a resolution of 900 x 1940 pixels and a pixel density of 317 ppi. It operates at a refresh rate of 120 Hz and reaches a peak brightness of 1,000 nits. The 16 MP selfie camera is integrated into a punch-hole display, but the fingerprint sensor is located on the side.

On the back is a “50 MP AI camera,” though the three apparent lenses seem more like a distraction—as far as we can tell, there’s only a 2 MP depth sensor next to the 50 MP main camera.

The smartphone is powered by the Unisoc T7280 chipset—a decidedly dated 12nm chipset with two Cortex-A75 cores (2.2 GHz) and six A55 cores (1.8 GHz), along with a Mali-G57 MP1 GPU. It features up to 8 GB of RAM, expandable by up to 12 GB of virtual memory. It also comes with 256 GB of non-expandable internal storage.

The dual-SIM phone is limited to 4G connectivity due to its T7280 chip. Other connectivity options include NFC (region-dependent) and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The nubia V80 design is 7.7 mm thick and weighs 191 g. It has a 5,000 mAh battery that charges relatively slowly at 22.5 watts, but also supports 10-watt reverse charging.

nubia V80 Design with SIM-less Bluetooth calling

The nubia Linkfree system is an interesting feature, a network-independent communication solution via Bluetooth. It enables voice calls and messages even outside of cellular networks. The range is up to several hundred meters, but can vary depending on the terrain.

In addition to the camera, the Android 16-based software offers numerous other AI functions – real-time translation, fraud detection, AI-powered writing and intelligent replies, image editing and transformation, wallpaper generation, and much more. All these functions are easily accessible via the corresponding AI button.

Prices

The nubia V80 Design is available in four colors: Midnight Black, Light Amber, Celadon Cyan, and Peach. The casing is also IP64 certified (dustproof and splashproof).

The nubia V80 Design is available in Malaysia for 570 MYR (120 €/140 USD) for the variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage. It is also available in the Philippines, where the base model with 4 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs 5,800 PHP (€85/USD 100), while the variant with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage costs 6,500 PHP (€95/USD 110).
