Motorola Moto G100 with large 7,000 mAh battery unveiled in China
The thin and light Moto X70 Air isn’t the only new Motorola smartphone launching today. It’s joined by a new variant of the Motorola Moto G100 – almost four years ago, a Moto G100 (2021) was launched. However, the new version has virtually nothing in common with the old one, apart from the name.
The most important advantage is the significantly larger 7,000 mAh battery, which supports 30-watt charging. It also features a newer, albeit still two-year-old, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
On the front of the Motorola phone is a 6.72-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. There’s also a 32 MP selfie camera.
The back of the Motorola Moto G100 houses a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The phone runs Android 15 and has an IP64 rating.
These specifications are similar to those of the Moto G36, which may be the international variant of the new Moto G100.
Motorola Moto G100 Prices
Lenovo China offers the Moto G100 in a version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage for 1,399 CNY (169 euros/196 US dollars). Pre-sales in China have already begun, and deliveries are expected to begin on October 23.
