The Honor X9d was officially unveiled today, featuring a massive 8,300 mAh silicon carbon (Si-C) battery. It also features IP69K certification, making it resistant to high temperatures and pressurized water jets. The X9d is a remake of the China-exclusive Honor X70, which launched earlier this year. The only change is the slightly slower wired charging speed of 66 watts.

The Honor X9d features a 6.79-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 120 Hz. It also boasts an impressive peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits. It’s equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 4 chipset and offers 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of storage. Thanks to the shock-absorbing frame, the smartphone is also extremely robust.

The back of the X9d features the same circular camera cutout as the X70, but you get the same combination of a 108 MP main camera and a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle lens. The software front is covered by MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15.

The Honor X9d is available in Reddish Brown, Midnight Black, Sunrise Gold, and Forest Green. The 12/256 GB version costs MYR 1,499 (€303/$356), and the 512 GB version costs MYR 1,699 (€343/$403).

Honor Malaysia is currently offering the X9d for pre-order and is also including a free Honor Pad X7 tablet. Pre-orders are available until October 9th.
