Oppo A6 Pro 4G with Helio G100 and 7,000 mAh battery unveiled
Oppo has already announced several models of the A6 series, including the A6 Pro 5G, the A6 Max, and the A6 GT and A6i. Now, a 4G model has been added: the Oppo A6 Pro 4G, which was unveiled in Vietnam. According to the description, it is the successor to the Oppo A5 4G, which was also known as the A5i Pro and A5m, depending on the region. The new A6 Pro, however, is a significant upgrade.
The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is powered by the Helio G100, MediaTek’s latest 4G chipset. It features ample memory—8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The chipset also features a vapor chamber for cooling.
The A6 Pro 4G features a 6.57-inch OLED display with a 1080p+ resolution—a significant improvement over the A5 4G’s 6.67-inch 90 Hz IPS LCD panel with a 720p+ resolution. The panel is also brighter, reaching a maximum of 1,400 nits (previously 1,000 nits). Incidentally, it’s the same screen as the A6 Pro 5G.
Inside is a massive 7,000 mAh battery with fast 80W charging—the same specifications as the 5G model. The previous 4G phone only supported 45W charging. On the back, we see a significantly different design than the 5G model.
A 50 MP camera is located in the top left corner. There’s only a 2 MP depth sensor. This 50 MP camera shoots 1080p videos at 60 frames per second, while the selfie camera has a 16 MP sensor and records 1080p videos at 30 frames per second.
The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is quite robust. It is certified to IPX6 (withstands high-pressure water jets for 3 minutes), IPX8 (submersion in 1.5 m of water for 30 minutes), and IPX9 (withstands 80 °C water jets), and has an IP6X dust protection rating. It also passed the MIL-STD-810H test.
There are other notable specs – stereo speakers with 300% volume mode, a 360° NFC antenna, an outdoor display visibility mode, and even an AirDrop-compatible sharing system on the iPhone.
Oppo A6 Pro 4G Prices
The Oppo A6 Pro 4G is available in Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, Coral Pink, and Rosewood Red. However, only the first three models are available in the FPTShop. Only one configuration is available, the 8/256 GB variant. Should we discover the 4G variant in other stores and countries, we will inform you.
The Oppo A6 Pro 4G costs 8,300,000 VND (€265/$315/₹28,000) and is therefore not an entry-level smartphone. It’s in the same price range as the Reno14 F, a 5G smartphone powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, which is sold in the same store for 10,300,000 VND.
