InkPalm Mini Plus 2: Xiaomi’s Kindle with Android and up to 512 GB storage is here
Xiaomi has unveiled its latest e-reader in China. The Moaan InkPalm Mini Plus 2 features a 5.84-inch E Ink display, runs Android 14, and offers up to 512 GB of storage. This is quite impressive considering that competitors like the Amazon Kindle series typically offer a maximum of 32 GB of storage. While you’ll never need that much storage space on an e-reader, it’s still great that Xiaomi offers users this option.
The dimensions of the Moaan InkPalm Mini Plus 2 are more in line with those of a smartphones, measuring 158.9 x 78.6 x 6.9 mm. This is significantly slimmer than the Kindle Paperwhite, which measures 180 x 120 x 8.1 mm. At 140 grams, Xiaomi’s new e-reader is also lighter.

Other specifications include the Rockchip RK3566 chipset, 6 GB of RAM, and a 2,250 mAh battery. The 1,440 x 720 pixel E Ink display is made of etched AG silicon glass with 32 color temperature levels and 256 gray levels.
Connectivity features Bluetooth 5.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi 5. The Mini Plus 2 also features speakers for audiobooks.
Unfortunately, the InkPalm Mini Plus 2 is currently available exclusively in China, and Xiaomi has not yet announced plans to launch the device globally. The retail price is 1,399 CNY (167 euros/196 US dollars), and delivery is scheduled for September 22.
