nubia Air introduced with slim body and IP69K protection
Slim smartphones, such as the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge and the Apple iPhone 17 Air, have been one of the big trends of 2025 so far. The nubia Air is ZTE’s contribution to this trend. The smartphone’s most striking feature is its slim body—it’s only 6.7 mm thick, with the thinnest part of the midframe measuring just 5.9 mm.
At 172 grams, the phone is also quite light, but despite its slim appearance, it is IP68/IP69K rated for dust and hot, high-pressure water.
The device features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,224 × 2,720 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It offers a peak brightness of 4,500 nits and is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i. A 20 MP selfie camera is integrated into the punch-hole cutout, while an in-display fingerprint scanner is located on the bottom.
On the back, there’s a 50 MP main camera, a 2 MP depth sensor, and a 0.08 MP secondary lens. Inside is a Unisoc T8300 chipset with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and charges at 33 watts.
nubia Air Prices
The nubia Air is available in Titanium Black, Streamer Black, and Titanium Desert. It will initially launch in Europe for €250, followed by a wider rollout in Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East.
