Xiaomi brings Poco F7 camera and performance update
Xiaomi launched the Poco F7 back in June, after releasing the F7 Pro and the F7 Ultra a few months earlier. Now the standard model is receiving a new software update that should fix a number of camera issues. There is, however, a small catch— So far the new firmware is only available for download in India.
Today’s update is called OS2.0.102.0 and is reportedly based on feedback from Poco F7 owners and the entire Poco community. The official changelog promises various improvements to the camera after installing the new software.
Poco F7 with a major camera update
These include “more natural skin tones and facial details,” “improved facial contrast and more precise brightness in portraits,” overall sharper images with “better detail in all lighting conditions,” “superior HDR control” with balanced highlights in bright areas and reduced overexposure, as well as “more realistic and precise” green and landscape renderings.
Xiaomi has also improved the thermal management of the Poco F7. The update also includes the June 2025 Android security patch. However, this patch is now two months old. Xiaomi should definitely improve this, as such updates are unfortunately not an isolated case for the Chinese company.
Xiaomi has promised another update for the end of this month, which should further improve the overall performance of the Poco phone. We’ll let you know as soon as it’s released.
