Apple Liquid Glass iOS 26 Beta 4: Apple rolls back some Beta 3 changes
With iOS 26 Beta 4, Apple has again made changes to the Liquid Glass design available across the operating system and optimized the display of menus and buttons in apps.
In response to criticism of too little Liquid Glass in Beta 3, Apple has increased transparency in several places.

Navigation bars in apps like Photos, Music, the App Store, and Podcasts are slightly clearer, allowing more background color to show through.
Apple has reduced the frosted glass appearance, but the changes are so minor that the text remains legible. So it seems to be more of a balance between Beta 2 and Beta 3.
The Control Center, lock screen, and home screen look largely the same. Most transparency changes focus on app navigation bars and buttons.
However, on the lock screen, the background darkens as you scroll through notifications.
Apple will likely continue to make small changes to Liquid Glass based on user feedback. The final version of the design will not be released until the final version of iOS 26 this fall.
