Global Poco F7 gets a much smaller giant battery

The battery of the Indian Poco F7 is so extremely large that even the smaller battery of the international F7 still beats almost all of the competition.

Xiaomi will launch the Poco F7 in several international markets on June 24. The design and some technical specifications have already been announced. According to Poco’s Indian subsidiary, the battery will have a capacity of 7,550 mAh and be based on silicon/carbon technology. This makes it the smartphone with the largest battery in India at launch. According to a new teaser, there won’t be quite as much reason to celebrate over here.

The global capacity was revealed today on the POCOGlobal account on X: The Poco F7 will ship with a 6,500 mAh battery, significantly smaller than the Indian F7. Although Poco hasn’t disclosed the reason for the smaller cell, the good news is that charging speeds remain the same across all models. The international Poco F7 also supports 90-watt wired charging and 22.5-watt wired charging.

Poco had already announced that the F7 would be launched with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset and 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which An AnTuTu benchmark score of over 2 million points is possible. There’s also a 50 MP camera with f/1.5 aperture and OIS, an 8 MP camera, and a 6,000 mm2 “3D IceLoop” cooling system. The smartphone will be available in three colors, which can be seen above.

The Poco F7 also features a 6.83-inch OLED display with 1,280 x 2,772 pixels, 12-bit resolution, Dolby Vision, and HDR10+ support. The maximum brightness is 3,200 nits and the PWM dimming is 3,840 Hz. The panel also houses a 20 MP front camera.
