Xiaomi introduces affordable Redmi Watch Move
Xiaomi has introduced a new wearable in India – the Redmi Watch Move. It’s a simple smartwatch with some great features, such as an AMOLED display and long battery life for a device in this price segment.
The Redmi Watch Move features a rectangular 1.85-inch screen with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels. It boasts a brightness of 600 nits, which Xiaomi claims is “the best in this segment.” The wearable is also the best in its price range, according to the Chinese company, with 97% heart rate detection accuracy and an extremely long battery life of 14 days.
The battery has a capacity of 300 mAh, which, combined with HyperOS, means “two weeks on a single charge” with typical use. However, if you’re a fan of the always-on display, the battery life drops significantly to five days. There are five watch face layouts and over 200 options, most of which also support AOD. Since Xiaomi is launching the device in India, it features festive designs inspired by local traditions and holidays.
The Redmi Watch Move weighs 25 grams without a strap or 39 grams with the TPU strap. The Xiaomi smartwatch is 10.8 mm thick and features a crown on the side. The device is IP68 certified and, due to its launch in India, also supports Hindi.
Other notable features include over 140 sports modes, seven of which are automatically detected, Bluetooth calling, and sleep, SpO2, stress, and heart rate tracking.
Redmi Watch Move Prices
Xiaomi is offering the Redmi Watch Move for 1,999 INR, equivalent to €23/$25. It is available in four colors: Silver Sprint, Black Drift, Blue Blaze, and Gold Rush. Availability begins on April 24 at 12:00 PM local time, after which the watch can be pre-ordered on mi.com and via Flipkart.
