Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro cameras and Phone (3) launch confirmed
The Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro will launch on April 28th, and as is typical for Nothing, there are various teasers just before the launch. We already know that it will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro chipset. Today, some light was finally shed on the camera setup.
The Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro will feature a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.57-inch sensor, the largest in its price segment. There’s also a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, also a first in this segment. Finally, the smartphone features an 8 MP ultrawide-angle camera with a 119.5-degree field of view.
If all of this sounds familiar, that’s because the Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro appears to have exactly the same cameras as the already available Nothing Phone (3a). As part of the affordable CMF series, the Phone 2 Pro is likely to be cheaper. A charger and a transparent protective case will be included in the box, at least in India.
Nothing Phone (3) Launch Date Confirmed
In addition to the Phone (3a), the Phone (3a) Pro has also already launched. The question remains: where is the regular Nothing Phone (3)? So far, there’s only a leaked Geekbench test from November of last year. Carl Pei, founder and CEO of Nothing, has now confirmed the expected release date in an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session on X.
Accordingly, the Nothing Phone (3) will launch between July and September, i.e., in the third quarter of the year. While Nothing took a year off last year, the Nothing Phone (2) was released in July 2023. So it seems the new device won’t deviate too much from the brand’s previous schedule. Incidentally, the Nothing Phone (1) was also unveiled in July 2022.
So far, no further technical details have leaked about the Nothing Phone (3) other than the aforementioned Geekbench test. But if it’s released in July, the company is likely to launch its teaser campaign in May or early June. Until then, we’ll wait for the Nothing CMF Phone 2 Pro to appear.
