Motorola Moto G86: Leak shows surprising design

The Moto G85 launched in June of last year, and we’re definitely getting closer to the release of its successor. Prices for the Motorola Moto G86 leaked in March, and today we have the first alleged renders of the mid-range phone.

Interestingly, this is a very Edge-like design. At least in this particular case, Motorola seems to be unifying its design language across the upper mid-range and flagship Edge series, as well as the mid-range G series. We’re talking about the camera island, which is definitely similar to that of the Motorola Edge 60 Fusion.

Apart from that, the back of the Motorola Moto G86 also seems quite interesting. The source of this leak describes the material as “a mix of felt and textile.” Apparently, the Moto G86 will be available in at least purple and dark blue, if today’s images are to be believed. The dark blue version appears to be opting for a more traditional synthetic leather back.
In addition, the Motorola Moto G86 features a flat display with fairly narrow bezels, with the top and bottom bezels appearing slightly larger than the sides. The main camera has a resolution of 50 MP and uses an unspecified Sony Lytia sensor with OIS. The G86 also supports Dolby Atmos. In the European market, the model with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage is expected to be priced at €330. Unfortunately, the official launch date is still unclear.
