Honor GT Pro and X60 GT before launch

As the name suggests, the Honor GT Pro will be the new top model in the series. The same seems to apply to the Honor X60 GT.

The Honor GT was launched back in December, and for a few weeks now we’ve known that its big brother is already on the way: the Honor GT Pro. Today, Honor officially announced the launch date: April 23rd at 2:30 p.m. local time in China. To celebrate the unveiling, the brand shared the first official images of the phone.

The design of the Honor GT Pro’s camera island retains the GT text in the bottom right corner, but otherwise differs significantly from that of the base model. For one thing, it’s centered and, for another, it looks a bit more flagship-like.

And at least in terms of processing power, the premium promise is apparently being fulfilled – rumors suggest the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is at the helm. According to previous leaks, the Honor GT Pro also features a 6.78-inch, flat 1.5K display, a 50 MP main camera, and a battery capacity between 6,000 mAh and 7,000 mAh. It supports fast 100-watt wired charging.

The Chinese company is also working on the Honor X60 GT, whose brothers, the X60 and X60 Pro, launched in October. This new device was discovered in the source code of the website of the Chinese device sales certification authority.

This reveals that the Honor X60 GT has a battery with a nominal capacity of 6,120 mAh. The stated typical capacity is therefore likely to be around 6,300 mAh. The device supports 90-watt wired fast charging.

The smartphone is powered by the now somewhat dated Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset and features 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. Unfortunately, further specifications have not yet been released. The X60 GT could also be unveiled on April 23, alongside the Honor GT Pro and the Honor Tablet GT.
