vivo X200 Ultra: AI image processor achieves 80 TOPS
Vivo just posted a video presentation of the vivo X200 Ultra’s camera features. The phone will be officially unveiled next Monday, but the company has been preparing for weeks, and most of the details are already known. The video shows the three rear cameras: 35mm, 14mm, and 85mm.
The 35mm main lens and the 14mm ultra-wide lens both use the same sensor, the 1/1.28-inch Sony LYT-818. The main lens is paired with an f/1.69 aperture, while the ultra-wide lens has an f/2.0 aperture. Notably, both cameras have optical image stabilization, including the ultra-wide.
The telephoto camera features an 85mm Zeiss APO lens. Apochromatic, or APO for short, means “color-free,” meaning free from chromatic aberration. This camera module features a 200 MP sensor for in-sensor zoom. The ultra-wide-angle camera features an optical image stabilization (OIS) system that enables correction of up to 2°. Combined with electronic stabilization, this achieves the impressive performance that Vivo CEO Han Boxiao demonstrated back in March.
The vivo X200 Ultra can also record 4K video at 120 frames per second with all three cameras or 4K footage at 60 frames per second with 10-bit color. It features DCG HDR and up to 14 stops of dynamic range, as well as Log-to-REC .709 conversion LUTs.

The vivo X200 Ultra also has two image processing chips on board. The vivo VS1 is the company’s first pre-processing chip and is dubbed an “AI ISP.” With a performance of 80 TOPS and 16 TOPS/W, it’s both extremely powerful and quite efficient. By comparison, Microsoft requires 40 TOPS to certify a computer as Copilot+-capable. The Snapdragon X Elite has a 45 TOPS NPU. It also features the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset instead of the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 found in the other X200 models.
vivo is also preparing a comprehensive photo kit for the phone, including a 200mm add-on lens that attaches to the phone’s 3.7x periscope, offering 8.7x optical zoom and up to 70x hybrid zoom. The accompanying teaser described 35x/800mm shots as “very usable.”
The vivo X200 Ultra will be fully unveiled next week, alongside the vivo X200s.
