Honor Power with 8,000 mAh battery and Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip is here
Honor today unveiled a new smartphone line called “Power.” The Honor Power lives up to its name, boasting a massive 8,000 mAh battery at a thickness of less than 8 mm. Honor compared the Power’s battery capacity with that of the iPad Air 11 (2025), which is 29.60 Wh versus 28.93 Wh, in favor of the phone. The Honor phone’s battery boasts an impressive power density of 821 Wh/L thanks to a high silicon content.
In terms of battery life, the battery can last for 25 hours of long video playback, 23 hours of TikTok, over 23 hours of navigation, and 14 hours of gaming. The phone supports 66W charging, and—we can’t believe we’re asking this—is 66W enough? There’s no data on how long a 100% charge takes, but just 2% of the battery is enough for an hour of phone calls or scanning 100 WeChat codes.
For powerful processing power, the Honor Power features the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, previously used in the Honor 100, 200, and 300 series. The chip is paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. The Power also features a micro quad-curved 6.78-inch OLED display (1,224 x 2,700 pixels) with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 10-bit color. Brightness peaks at 4,000 nits with 3,840 Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.
The camera setup is fairly simple. The 50 MP main camera has an f/1.95 lens with OIS and can record 4K videos. There’s also a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and that’s it. The front camera sits in a pill-shaped hole and features a 16 MP sensor that shoots 1080p videos.
Connectivity includes an in-house RF amplification chip, the Honor C1+. This is a dual-SIM phone with BeiDou satellite SMS in the 12/512 GB variant. It promises 20% better positioning accuracy with tri-frequency BeiDou and dual-frequency GPS. It also features Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3 (LDAC, aptX HD), and NFC. The USB-C port only supports USB 2.0 data rates.
The Honor Power is also waterproof, although an official IP rating has not yet been confirmed.
Honor Power Prices
The Honor Power is available for pre-order in China starting today and will be available from the 18th. The base model with 8/256 GB costs 2,000 CNY, which is equivalent to €240/$270/₹23,350. There’s also a 12/256 GB version for 2,200 CNY and the top model with 12/512 GB for 2,500 CNY.
Please note that all three variants are currently on sale, so the base model actually starts at 1,700 CNY and the top model at just over 2,100 CNY.
