Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE with Exynos 1580 and FE+ with 13.1-inch display are here

With the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE series, the Korean company is also skipping a generation, with releases in 2021, 2023, and now 2025. Patience pays off, as each upgrade feels more substantial, but these are still Samsung’s mid-range offerings. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ features a larger 13.1-inch display, which is almost 12% more surface area than its predecessor’s 12.4-inch panel. This also makes it larger than the 12.4-inch Tab S10+, though not as large as the 14.6-inch Tab S10 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE retains the 10.9-inch screen size but is 4% lighter than its predecessor (from 523 g to 497 g). The FE+ has gained some weight (from 627 g to 664 g) due to the larger display. Both tablets are slimmer than the 2023 models, now measuring 6.0 mm instead of 6.5 mm. However, this doesn’t affect battery capacity; more on that in a moment.

Both FE tablets feature 90 Hz LCDs with 800 nits high brightness mode. Samsung sells an anti-glare screen protector, a Smart Book Cover, and two keyboard covers. The retail package includes an S Pen, but note that it’s an S Pen without Bluetooth functionality (this isn’t new; the S Pens that came with the Tab S9 FE also lacked remote control functionality).

This year’s FE tablets are powered by the Exynos 1580, which is also found in the Galaxy A56. It’s the first mid-range Exynos to use ARMv9 cores (Cortex-A720 and A520) and the second to use AMD graphics—now based on RDNA 3 and with two workgroups, not just one like the Exynos 1480. However, the Tab S9 FE used the older 1380 chip, so, as mentioned, this is a significant upgrade.

The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Tab S10 FE+ are available in two configurations: 8/128 GB and 12/256 GB. There’s a microSD slot (supporting cards up to 2 TB), but the additional onboard storage also provides more RAM. Whichever model you choose, Galaxy AI features are available.

Circle to Search can do new tricks

Circle to Search works great with the S Pen, and you can even take notes and do homework – Solve Math solves handwritten equations, while Handwriting Help cleans up and organizes your notes. There’s also Object Eraser and Best Face for photos, and Auto Trim for videos (it quickly cuts multiple clips together to create highlight reels). The Tab S10 FE series also comes pre-installed with LumaFusion, Goodnotes, Clip Studio Paint, Noteshelf 3, Sketchbook, Picsart, and more. There’s even a Galaxy AI key on the Book Cover keyboard for quick access.

Both Galaxy tablets have an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, which is rare for tablets but a selling point for Samsung slates. Both tablets feature stereo speakers and a fingerprint reader integrated into the power button.

The Tab S10 FE has an 8,000 mAh battery, while the larger Tab S10 FE+ has a 10,090 mAh battery. Both support 45W fast charging, but you’ll need to bring your own. Like last year, the front camera features a 12 MP sensor and an ultra-wide lens. The rear camera has a single camera, one with a higher-resolution 13 MP sensor. There’s no ultra-wide lens like the Tab S9 FE+.

For connectivity, the tablets have Wi-Fi 6 (ax) and Bluetooth 5.3. 5G connectivity (sub-6 GHz) is optional if you want. These tablets are dual-SIM tablets, with a physical card in the slot and an eSIM.
