Vivo’s gaming brand has introduced a new model – the iQOO Neo 10R. This mid-range smartphone boasts some truly premium features, including a fast Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset and a large 6,400 mAh battery. It also features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1,260 x 2,800 pixels, a refresh rate of 144 Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 480 Hz.

The display also achieves a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits, controlled by high-frequency PWM dimming at 3,840 Hz and DC dimming. The display is protected by Schott Xensation Up glass, and the casing is splash-proof according to IP65 protection.

The iQOO Neo 10R is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with a 3.0 GHz Cortex-X4 core and an Adreno 735 GPU. LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage (for the 256 GB model, the 128 GB version only has UFS 3.1) are further very fast components. The chipset is cooled by a “6K VC” vapor chamber and promises an average frame rate of 87 fps over a gaming session lasting a full five hours. iQOO also provides three operating system updates and four years of security patches. It launches with Android 15 and iQOO’s FuntouchOS 15 interface.

iQOO Neo 10R: 6,400 mAh battery in a 7.98 mm case

The fact that the iQOO Neo 10R can also manage 6.5 hours of gaming at 90 fps on a single charge is thanks to a very large 6,400 mAh battery. Despite this, the gaming smartphone is only 7.98 mm thick and weighs 198 g. The battery also supports bypass charging – supplying power directly to the smartphone without going through the battery. Compared to normal charging, this generates less waste heat and preserves the battery and its lifespan, while you can continue playing normally. And if you do need to plug in, charging is pretty fast with 80 watts. According to iQOO, at least 80% of the capacity is still available after 1,600 charging cycles.

The camera system is led by a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.95-inch Sony IMX882 sensor and an f/1.79 lens with OIS. There’s also an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera (f/2.2) and a 32 MP selfie camera (f/2.45). Both the main and selfie cameras can record 4K videos. The former can shoot up to 60 frames per second, while the latter can shoot up to 30 frames per second.
