Last year, the Honor Magic V3 was the thinnest book-style foldable device on the market. Last month, it had to give up this title to the Oppo Find N5, which was only 8.93 mm thin when folded. Now Honor is back with the right answer: According to a new rumor from China, the Honor Magic V4 will also be less than 9 mm thin when folded.

The Honor Magic V4 will also attract some attention with its camera setup. According to the leak, there will be a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.5 inch sensor and a 200 MP periscope telephoto lens with three times optical zoom and a 1/1.4 inch sensor.

The foldable main display is said to be around 8 inches, the cover display around 6.45 inches. Both are based on LTPO technology and support a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the side of the power button. The phone supports wireless charging and satellite connectivity and is apparently waterproof to the IPX8 standard.

The Honor Magic V4 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. It is not yet known whether this is the full version with eight cores or the binned version with one less CPU. The Find N5 runs the version with only seven CPU cores. If there is a grain of truth in this leak, the Magic V4 is slowly but surely developing into one of the most exciting foldables of the year so far. The launch date is supposedly in June.
