Xiaomi Poco M7 with 50 MP camera and 4 years of updates is here
Xiaomi launched a new phone in India today. The company unveiled the Poco M7, offering two years of OS updates and four years of security patches. In fact, it is a rebranded Redmi 14C and is available exclusively on Flipkart.
The Poco M7 is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset that supports 5G connectivity. The display is a 6.88-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Xiaomi has also got the panel certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light and flicker-free.
Although the large camera module of the Xiaomi Poco M7 has four cutouts, the phone actually has only two cameras on the back. The main camera is 50MP, while the function of the second sensor is unknown. The selfie camera is 8MP. Additionally, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, 150% volume, and dust and splash protection. It also has a microSD slot for memory cards up to 1TB.
The software is HyperOS based on Android 14. As for the battery, the Poco M7 has a 5,160mAh cell with 18W charging.
Xiaomi Poco M7 prices
The Xiaomi smartphone will be available exclusively through Indian wholesaler Flipkart. Those who prefer to shop on Amazon India instead will have to opt for the Redmi 14C. Interestingly, they are priced the same, but the Redmi has less affordable storage options. The Poco M7 5G is available in black, green, and blue. Prices start at 9,999 INR (109 euros/115 USD) for 6/128 GB storage and go up to 10,999 INR (120 euros/126 USD) for 8/128 GB.
