Realme Ultra: 1-inch sensor with 10x optical zoom

Realme is attending MWC Barcelona 2025 to unveil the Realme 14 Pro series to global markets. However, the brand is also expected to unveil, if not launch, the Realme Ultra at MWC. While Realme has not confirmed the actual name so far, the Chinese have now at least revealed that the Ultra will feature a main camera with a 1-inch Sony sensor.

According to the press release, the smartphone features “an ultra-large sensor and an optical telephoto lens that is designed to redefine smartphone photography.” This is the first time we’ve heard of a Realme Ultra, and it’s probably just teased, with the actual announcement expected to come later this year.

Realme also said that the new Ultra will feature a telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. Moreover, the brand has shared some test images of the Realme Ultra, which you can see above.
Realme Ultra against Samsung and Apple
The new flagship is likely to compete with the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra and the Apple iPhone 17 Pro Max. In fact, you won’t find 1-inch sensors there, but in the Xiaomi 14 Ultra or Sony Xperia 1 VI.
The Realme 14 Pro and the 14 Pro+ are already being sold in India and China. Internationally, the Pro+ is likely to cost just under €600, while the regular Pro has already been teased with a price tag of €435.
