vivo V50 with 6,000 mAh battery and 120 Hz display is here

The vivo V50 is now officially available in India and it comes with some minor differences in specs compared to its predecessor. These include a larger 6,000mAh battery with slightly faster 90W wired charging and a more modern design.

The V50’s display still measures 6.77-inches and is of the OLED type with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel features the trendy quad-curved look with a more subtle curvature than its predecessor. You’ll also find Diamond Shield Glass, which vivo says offers improved drop resistance compared to the V40. Peak brightness is now 4,500 nits.

The camera department consists of three 50MP modules with Zeiss optics. Included are a main camera (23mm equivalent) with OIS, an ultra-wide-angle camera with autofocus and a front camera, all of 50MP. The rest of the vivo V50’s specs are essentially a revamp of the V40. There’s a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, but no expansion slot.
The software side is covered by Funtouch OS 15 based on Android 15. Vivo guarantees three major Android updates and four years of security patches. The V50 also has IP68/69 water and dust resistance and an optical in-display fingerprint sensor.
