Apple iPhone SE 4 to arrive next week
Apple could well kick off its 2025 product launches with an iPhone. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is back with another Apple iPhone SE 4 rumor, suggesting that the device will launch “in the coming days.” This likely means an announcement next week.
According to “people with knowledge of the matter,” Apple will forego a special event and unveil the Apple iPhone SE 4 directly in a press release. The new model is then expected to go on sale later this month with a starting price of $499.
Stock of the current iPhone SE (2022) in Apple retail stores is reportedly running low, another indication that its successor is already in the wings. The SE 4 will be the first Apple smartphone to feature a self-developed cellular modem, paving the way for a future without reliance on Qualcomm.
The Apple iPhone SE 4 will likely look quite similar to the iPhone 14, with a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with the familiar notch and the same layout of physical buttons. There’s a single 48MP main camera on the back, while the latest Apple A18 chipset from the iPhone 16 series paired with 8GB of RAM will power the new SE, so that Apple Intelligence features can also run on it.
The new Apple iPhone SE 4 is also expected to feature a USB-C port, as this is now mandatory for all new small and medium-sized electronic devices for markets in the European Union.
