Google Pixel 9a: Prices for Europe and launch date
According to a leak from the end of January, the Google Pixel 9a will be available for pre-order in the US from March 19th and will be delivered from March 26th. There have also been rumors about the price, which is said to be $499 like its predecessor, the Pixel 8a. The 256GB model, on the other hand, will be $599, $40 more expensive than the 256GB version of the Pixel 8a.
However, all of these leaks concern the US. A new report from France today reveals what will happen in Europe. According to this, pre-orders for the Google Pixel 9a in Europe will also begin on March 19th, followed by the first sale on March 26th, just like in the US. The price for the model with 128GB storage is £499 or €549. For 256GB you pay £599 or €649. The cheaper model will be offered in Europe in four color variants: Obsidian, Porcelain, Iris and Peony. The more expensive version will only be available in Obsidian and Iris.
So, just like in the US, the price of the 256GB model will increase. Google also wants to get a little more margin here, probably in the hope that 128GB is no longer enough for many buyers these days. The Google Pixel 9a is expected to be powered by the Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8GB of RAM. It is expected to come onto the market with a 5,100mAh battery, the largest ever in a Pixel smartphone. The main camera will get an upgrade in the form of a new 48MP sensor.
