After the x200 Pro and Pro mini, the Chinese flagship is still missing. The vivo X200 Ultra is supposed to take on the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, both of which have not yet been released. Today, the prolific Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station revealed various details about the camera system of the X200 Ultra in a Weibo post that has since been deleted.

According to this, the vivo X200 Ultra has a 50 MP main camera with a 1/1.28 inch sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 1/1.28 inch sensor and a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.4 inch sensor. The latter sounds a lot like the Samsung ISOCELL HP9 – how many 200 MP camera sensors are there on the market? Interestingly, according to DCS, the prototypes appear to show the ultrawide camera at 1x magnification in the viewfinder, while the main camera is shown at 1.5x.

In addition, the vivo X200 Ultra is said to feature a 6.8-inch 2K LTPO OLED display that is curved on all four sides. There are extremely narrow display bezels all around and a circular camera island on the back.

Digital Chat Station has since edited its original post and deleted all of this information, which could be a sign that it posted it too early. In fact, the edited post, of which there are many, now consists only of the word “early”. The X200 Ultra is said to be released in March or April. Unfortunately, the chances of it being officially sold outside of China are pretty slim.
