Nothing Phone (3a): Official confirmation, first live image and teaser

Nothing has been teasing things over the past few days and even announced a launch event for March 4. Since then, we’ve heard through the rumor mill that the event is for the Nothing Phone (3a) and the Phone (3a) Pro. Today, the company itself confirmed that the “Nothing Phone (3a) series” will be released in early March. To celebrate, Nothing released this teaser image:

While the teaser reveals little, the Nothing Phone (3a) has reportedly already been spotted in a sturdy protective case that is supposed to protect its design from prying eyes. But the case can’t hide the fact that this will be the first Nothing phone with three main cameras.

X-user ACE100xd didn’t like that at all and immediately rendered the Nothing Phone (3a) again without a protective case. You can see the triple camera array, a first for the company, which is integrated in the middle of the device and matches Nothing’s design language for previous A-series models. Nothing’s unique Glyph LED design is still there, as is the transparent look.
According to another rumor, the Nothing Phone (3a) has a 6.8-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 120 Hz refresh rate and a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. The camera system is said to include a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom for the first time. There is also a 50 MP main camera and an 8 MP ultra-wide angle camera. On the front, there will be a 32 MP selfie camera.
The device is said to have a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 45W wired fast charging, as well as Glyph lights on the back and NFC support. It will run Nothing OS 3.1 based on Android 15 out of the box.
The Phone (3a) will be offered in two variants: one with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and one with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Phone (3a) Pro only comes in a version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Both models are available in black, the (3a) is also available in white and the (3a) Pro is available in gray. It is unclear what improvements the Pro model offers compared to the standard model, but we expect that information to be announced in the coming days.
