Oppo Find X8 Ultra to have a flat display

According to a new rumor from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the upcoming Oppo Find X8 Ultra will be the next Ultra model in 2025 to launch with a flat display – just like the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. The device will also feature extremely narrow bezels, which is pretty much par for the course in this price range these days.

This means that the curved screen trend is all but officially dead after Samsung introduced it with the Galaxy S6 Edge and it was adopted by various Chinese smartphone makers for years. The regular Find X8 and Pro model had already done without it.
Rumors suggest that the Oppo Find X8 Ultra will come with a telephoto macro camera that uses the 50MP Sony Lytia LYT-701 sensor with 3x optical zoom and OIS. There is also a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch Sony Lytia LYT-900 chip sensor and OIS on board, as well as a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with six times optical zoom. The setup is rounded off by another 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera.
There will also be an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, satellite communication support, and a 6,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Oppo Find X8 Ultra is expected to launch in February alongside the Find X8 Mini. What there will reportedly not be, however, is an official international launch.
