Honor Magic7 Pro gets 5 years of OS updates

Honor has just launched the Magic7 Pro and Magic7 Lite in Europe, but one piece of news that has gotten a little lost is the company’s software update policy for its flagship models. And there’s good news – the Honor Magic7 Pro will receive five years of OS updates and security patches.

This means that the Honor Magic7 Pro will run the latest version of Android and security patches until January 2030. The new update policy adds exactly one year of support compared to last year’s Magic6 Pro.

The Honor Magic7 Pro features the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, 12GB of RAM, and a 5,270mAh battery with 100W wired and wireless charging. The main camera has the same 50MP 1/1.3-inch sensor with a 23mm lens and two-stop variable aperture of f/1.4-f/2.0. There is also a 200 MP zoom camera and a 50 MP 1/2.88-inch ultra-wide-angle camera with macro functions.
The Honor Magic7 Lite has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 1,224 x 2,700 pixels and 120 Hz, a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip with 8 GB RAM and a large 6,600 mAh battery with 66 watt charging. There is a 108 MP main camera and a 5 MP ultra-wide-angle camera as well as a 16 MP selfie camera on the front. All information can be found in our announcement report.
