Xiaomi introduced the Redmi Note 14 series in China in late September and then brought almost identical models to India in December. Now the company is bringing a completely different range of Redmi Note 14 models to the European market. This time there are five new devices, not just three. First of all, the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+.

Redmi Note 14 Pro+

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset, which promises a small performance boost over the Dimensity 7200 Ultra in the Redmi Note 13 Pro+. The phone will be available in various configurations starting from 8/256 GB. The top model has 12 GB of RAM (LPDDR4X) and 512 GB of storage (UFS 2.2).

The display is similar to that of the previous model – a curved 6.67-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 1,220 x 2,712 pixels. It displays 12-bit colors with Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support and reaches up to 3,000 nits (previously 1,800 nits) and uses 1,920 Hz PWM dimming. An upgrade this generation is the switch to Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The back is made of either Gorilla Glass 7i (Frost Blue and Midnight Black) or vegan leather (Lavender Purple).

Like last year, Xiaomi has given the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ a 200 MP camera with a 1/1.4 inch sensor. The chip uses 16-in-1 pixel binning, offers lossless 2x and 4x zoom and is optically stabilized. The ultrawide camera remains at 8 MP and there is also a 2 MP macro camera on board. The selfie camera received an upgrade to a 20 MP sensor and a wider 0.8x lens. The dual video feature allows you to record with the front and rear cameras at the same time.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ has a slightly larger battery than before, with a capacity of 5,110 mAh instead of 5,000 mAh. The charging speed is a fast 120 watts and the matching charger is also part of the package in some regions.

Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G comes in two variants: 4G and 5G. They use different chipsets, of course, a Helio G100 Ultra and a Dimensity 7300 Ultra. Other than that, the 5G model is more similar to the Pro+. It uses the same curved 6.67-inch 1220p+ display with the same 20 MP selfie camera. The IP68 protection rating is also the same. The 5,110 mAh battery has the same capacity, but only supports 45 watts of fast charging. Again, the matching charger is included in the box in some regions.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G also has a 6.67-inch curved OLED display, but this one has a lower resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. It still uses Victus 2 glass, but the phone is only IP64 rated for splash protection, not immersion protection. The display only offers 10-bit colors and no Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support. The peak brightness is also lower, reaching just 1,800 nits.

The selfie camera has a 32 MP sensor with the same wider 0.8x lens. The charging power is also the same at 45 watts (in some regions with an included charger), but the battery has a higher capacity of 5,500 mAh. Importantly, both Pro models have the same main camera setup as the Pro+: 200MP main camera with 1/1.4-inch and OIS), 8MP ultra-wide angle and 2MP macro.

Both Pros and the Pro+ have dual SIM slots. However, the two 5G models also have an eSIM on board, the Pro 4G does not. On the other hand, the Pro 4G is the only one that has a microSD slot. It is a hybrid slot, though, so you have to choose between additional storage and a second SIM.

Redmi Note 14 Pro and Pro+ prices

Prices start at €300/£250 for the Pro 4G and climb above €400/£300 for the Pro 5G to €500/£400 for the Pro+, each with 8/256GB. The latter is also available with 12/512 GB for €550/£450.
