OnePlus 13: Worldwide rollout started for $899
The OnePlus 13 has finally hit the global stage two months after its unveiling in China. The device features a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and the rest of the specs are impressive too, considering it’s the company’s current flagship.
The base variant of the OnePlus 13 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage will retail for $899 (up from $799 for the OnePlus 12) and is only available in black. If you want the white or blue colors, you’ll have to pay $999 for the version with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. In Europe, the 12/256GB model costs €999, while the 16/512GB model is €1,049. For India, the prices are ₹ 69,999 (12/256GB) and ₹ 76,999 (16/512GB). The 24GB/1TB model is not available yet. The smartphone brand brought improvements across the board. The panel, a product of BOE, retains the 6.82-inch diagonal and 1440p resolution, but is now brighter. There are also new telephoto and ultrawide cameras on the back. Another notable change is the thickness of the OnePlus 13, which is under 9mm despite the new 6,000mAh battery.
Combined with the improved power efficiency of the Snapdragon chipset and the new display, we expect the phone to outperform any other OnePlus flagship in terms of battery life. Another big improvement is the IP68/IP69 certification. Not only is it protected against the ingress of dust and water, but it is also certified against high-pressure water jets such as steam cleaning.
The new OnePlus 13R, which was also unveiled yesterday, also went on the world tour as the renamed OnePlus Ace 5.
