Samsung announced the Galaxy A55 on March 15, 2024. Its successor, which will unsurprisingly be called the Samsung Galaxy A56, has been appearing more and more frequently in the rumor mill lately. The signs point to final corrections and then off to the stage for the global presentation.

Now an alleged list of technical specifications for the Samsung Galaxy A56 has been posted by a tipster on X. According to this, the Samsung phone will have an AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution. There will also be an aluminum frame and a glass back.

On this glass back there will also be a 50 MP main camera and two other modules – a 12 MP camera and a 5 MP camera. The first camera is likely to be an ultra-wide angle, the latter a macro camera. A 12MP front camera will take care of selfies. The phone will also have 8 or 12GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage on board, so the Exynos 1580 chipset will have enough reserves for AI functions right on the device. Power will be provided by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 45W wired charging.

In the UK, the Samsung Galaxy A56 is expected to start at £439 (€529/$551), which is exactly the same price as its predecessor launched at. With that in mind, we expect there to be no price increases for this product worldwide.
