OnePlus 13 / 13R / Ace 5 / Ace 5 Pro: Technical specifications and launch date
OnePlus recently announced that the OnePlus 13 will launch internationally next month. Now, the company has confirmed the exact date and time of the event. Not only that, it is also calling this the “OnePlus 13 Series Winter Launch Event.” Accordingly, along with the 13 model, the OnePlus 13R will also go official at this event and go on a global tour.
Since there is no location attached to the event, we assume it will be online only. As you can see in the teaser above, it will take place on January 7 at 10:30 AM EST, 4:30 PM CET, and 9:00 PM IST. The OnePlus 13 has a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1,440 x 3,168 pixels, 120 Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nit peak brightness. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset in combination with 12, 16 or 24 GB RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB storage.
In addition, a triple camera system with a 50 MP main camera with OIS, a 50 MP ultra-wide angle with autofocus and a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with triple zoom and OIS is installed. The 6,000 mAh battery supports 100 watt wired charging and 50 watt wireless charging. It runs on Android 15 and OxygenOS 15.
The company will also launch a new Sapphire Blue variant of the OnePlus Buds 3 Pro. The earphones will support AI translation features in collaboration with the OnePlus 13 series.
OnePlus 13R: Technical data
The OnePlus 13R is based on the Ace 5, which is currently about to launch together with the Ace 5 Pro. According to a new tip, the Ace 5 will launch with a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display, also with 120 Hz. The drive here is the top chipset from last year – the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. There are also 12/256 GB, 12/512 GB, 16/256 GB, 16/512 GB or 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage.
The camera system consists of a 50 MP main camera with OIS, an 8 MP ultrawide and an additional 2 MP sensor. In addition, there is a metal frame, an optical fingerprint sensor in the display and a very large 6,500 mAh battery that charges via cable at 80 watts.
The only changes that the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro brings are a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and a 6,100 mAh battery with support for wired charging at 100 watts. The rest of the technical data is identical.
The depth and weight are supposedly “pretty good”, without us getting any further details. According to previous rumors, the OnePlus 13R / Ace 5 will only get a 6,200 mAh battery. The Pro battery was said to be “6,300mAh” at the time, of which 6,100 mAh are still left as of today. We are excited for the next leaks.
