Samsung One UI 7: New Game Mode and free beta slots

The second beta of Samsung One UI 7 has just gone online, which is already based on Android 15. The first screenshots now show a new setting in the Game Booster menu, namely the refresh rates for games. In older versions of One UI, you can limit the frame rate in games to 48 Hz to save power. With the new version of the interface, you can only choose between 60 and 120 Hz.

You can find this setting in the Gaming Hub/Game Booster app under Gaming Motion Smoothness. According to Samsung, this feature does not affect games that have their own refresh rate setting. And games that do not support exceeding 60 Hz naturally do not do so with Samsung One UI 7 either. In addition, you can now also adjust performance settings such as the maximum frame rate, resolution and overall optimization level separately for each game via the Game Booster.
Samsung One UI 7 roadmap: Three beta versions by the end of 2024
A post on Samsung’s community pages also revealed the One UI 7 beta roadmap for the next versions. Starting now, India will receive its first Samsung One UI 7 beta version, while the rest of the participating countries will receive their second version. The next version will arrive on December 23rd, and another is planned seven days later – on December 30th.

To participate in the One UI 7 beta, you need a Samsung Galaxy S24, S24+ or Galaxy S24 Ultra and a valid account in the Samsung Members app. You must also participate from Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the United Kingdom or the United States. In addition, only limited places were available. However, places became available again yesterday.
Samsung’s new user interface offers an AI assistant, call logs and a refreshed, simplified design. The camera app has also been redesigned and comes with reorganized camera buttons, controls, and modes for easier access. Seen here is a Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype running One UI 7.
