Apple launched the iPhone SE 3 in 2022. It is rumored to be replaced by the Apple iPhone SE 4 in the first quarter of 2025, which begins in exactly three weeks. Although there is no word from Apple yet, South Korean website ET News has now confirmed previous rumors of camera upgrades for the iPhone SE 4.

The iPhone SE 3 features a 12MP main camera and a 7MP selfie camera. The Apple iPhone SE 4 will have a 48MP main camera and a 12MP selfie camera instead. Citing industry sources, ET News claims that the front and rear camera modules for the iPhone SE 4 will be supplied by LG Innotek. These are expected to be the same cameras as the Apple iPhone 16, except that the new Apple iPhone SE 4 will not have an ultrawide camera.

In addition, the report claims that Foxconn and Cowell Electronics will also supply the cameras for the Apple iPhone SE 4, while the OLED panels will come from LG Display and BOE. LG Display accounts for 25-35% of panel production

New Apple iPad Pro coming in the second half of 2025

Apple’s next generation iPad Pro, on the other hand, is not quite ready to go and is only expected to be available in the second half of next year. It is expected to be powered by the upcoming M5 chipset, which has not been reported at all so far. Mass production will also begin in the second half of 2025, and Apple’s “business momentum” is expected to “benefit significantly” from these new launches.

The latest Apple iPad Pro models were launched in May with the M4 chipset. Their successors are therefore expected to take more than a year to debut – perhaps even around 18 months, depending on when exactly the new iPads are officially launched. Apple has historically allowed at least 18 months to pass between iPad Pro releases, and that is likely to continue.

The information comes from analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities, who is known for his usually reliable rumors about Apple. Kuo has also just commented on the upcoming HomePod 3.
