Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold to launch in early 2026

Samsung is currently working on larger displays for the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7, among others, which will be released in the middle of next year. In addition, the Korean company is already looking far into the future. According to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants, we will see a triple-folding Galaxy smartphone in early 2026 – the Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold.
The announcement was made on social media, where the display supply chain consultant shared his inside information in a response to yesterday’s report. According to this, Samsung is not planning a triple-folding display for 2025 and therefore no Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold. Instead, it seems that the company is focusing on regaining its lost market share in regular foldables with the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Z Fold7.

A triple-folding Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold would be a whole new challenge. Huawei is so far the only company that has managed to create a market-ready product with the Mate XT Ultimate. Even if the quantities are as limited as the price is high.
We assume that the Samsung Galaxy Tri-Fold could come onto the market in early 2026 as a counterpart to the Apple iPhone Fold, which is rumored to be in development at the moment. The latter is planned for September 2026 – or not, if it remains a rumor. It’s still a while away until then, and plans can still change.
