Samsung Galaxy A26: First renderings show important upgrade
Samsung launched the Galaxy A25 in December last year, so we’re fast approaching the point where its successor should be officially announced. That hasn’t happened yet, but today we have the first leaked renders showing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A26 from all the important angles.
The Samsung Galaxy A26 measures 164 x 77.5 x 7.7mm – 9.7mm if you include the camera module. Interestingly, that makes it taller, wider, and slimmer than its predecessor. The first two figures strongly suggest that the display on the new model will be larger than the 6.5-inch A25. In fact, the source of these renders suggests a diagonal of around 6.64 inches.
According to a benchmark test, the Samsung Galaxy A26 will be based on Samsung’s Exynos 1280 chipset, like the A25. In addition, at least one version comes with 6 GB of RAM, but like the A25, there will definitely be more options. The A26 is also likely to come with Android 15 from day one and should be priced very similarly to its predecessor.
As you can see from the renderings, the Samsung smartphone has a flat display with a vintage-looking waterdrop notch and a thick bottom frame. The three cameras on the back are all in the same island. There are no more individual circles.
The sides of the Samsung Galaxy A26 are also flat, confirming one of the big trends of 2024. On the right side there is also Samsung’s Key Island, which protrudes from the flat frame and houses the power and volume buttons.
