The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition has already entered its third round. With the same result: everything was sold out within minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition went on sale in late October and sold out within 10 minutes. Samsung released another batch that sold out within 5 minutes. The company has now released the third batch today and it was just as quick – all foldables were sold out in just 6 minutes.

The whole thing is all the more curious because Samsung had produced a larger quantity of Z Fold Special Editions for the third batch than in the first two runs, reports the Korean publication Newsis. However, the exact number of units in each batch is not known and is being kept secret by Samsung.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is still only available in South Korea. However, the Samsung W25 launched on the Chinese market with some primarily cosmetic changes compared to the Z Fold Special. The W25 and the W25 Flip, which is based on the Galaxy Z Flip6, have been available for pre-order in China since last week and will be available for purchase from November 15th (this Friday). However, no concrete figures on the units sold are likely to be made public here either.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition is thinner (10.6 mm when folded vs. 12.1 mm) than the Galaxy Z Fold6 and also has larger displays (8.0 inches inside, 6.5 inches outside vs. 7.6 inches and 6.3 inches). It also has a 200 megapixel main camera and Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, but loses S Pen support.

At the moment, there are no signs that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition will reach other markets worldwide. And the more time passes, the closer the launch of the Galaxy Z Fold7 comes, which will probably also have a slimmer design than the Fold6.
