Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro gets 185 Hz display

The Asus ROG Phone 9 and ROG Phone 9 Pro will be unveiled on November 19, and unsurprisingly, the duo will feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. According to a new rumor, Asus will combine it all with the best heat dissipation technology available right now.

And not only that, the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro’s LTPO OLED display also features a record-breaking 185Hz refresh rate. This fits perfectly, as ROG smartphones are primarily aimed at mobile gamers.
Above, you can see the panel in the first renders of the Pro model that have surfaced online. The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro’s display has a centered punch-hole and there is a triple camera setup on the back. Below the camera island, it says “Republic of Gamers” (ROG). The gaming smartphone is built on a metal construction with a flat bezel and the volume rocker and power button on the right side.
The Asus ROG Phone 9 series will also have IP68 protection for dust and water resistance. In addition, AI functions are also very likely on board. On the one hand, the Snapdragon 8 Elite has a lot of potential in this regard and on the other hand, it is 2024 and apparently no manufacturer can do without AI anymore.
Some pictures also show the Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro with the AeroActive Cooler X, the typical cooler accessory for Asus gaming phones. However, it is unclear whether this is an improved version or not. The next leaks and teasers should not be long in coming and will soon shed more light on the matter.
