Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro and Watch S4 are here
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 was officially launched a few months ago and today it has a big brother – the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is here. Like previous Pro versions in Xiaomi’s best-selling wearables series, this one also has a larger, rectangular display compared to the non-Pro smartband.
The display of the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro has a diameter of 1.74 inches and is based on AMOLED technology as usual. The resolution is 336 x 480 pixels and the peak brightness is a bright 1,200 nits. The smartwatch measures 43.27 x 32.49 x 10.8 mm and weighs just 24.5 g thanks to its aluminum alloy case.
The Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro is also waterproof up to 50 meters and has a 350 mAh battery that is designed for up to 21 days of use. It has NFC on board as well as Bluetooth 5.4 and GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and QZSS support. Location services in particular are still not a given for smart bracelets. It is compatible with smartphones from Android 8 and higher and with iPhones from iOS 12 and higher.
Like any high-quality smartwatch, the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro measures your heart rate, blood oxygen level, stress and also analyzes your sleep. There are over 150 sports modes to choose from, including improved tracking for running and swimming. The price of 399 CNY (52 €/56 $) is quite reasonable. Magnetic quick-release straps cost 169 CNY (22 €/23 $) extra and leather quick-release straps cost 99 CNY (13/13 $).
Xiaomi Watch S4
The Xiaomi Watch S4 has a round 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a peak brightness of 2,200 nits, as well as a user-replaceable bezel. It also has a water resistance of 50 meters and also has 150 sports modes.
The Xiaomi Watch S4 is available in two versions, one of which has eSIM support. The dimensions are 47.3 x 47.3 x 12 mm and the weight is 44.5 g. Bluetooth 5.3 is available for data communication. In addition, the Xiaomi smartwatch supports the same satellite positioning systems as the Smart Band 9 Pro.
The Xiaomi Watch S4 also monitors your heart rate, blood oxygen level and personal stress level. Integrated running workouts and AI-controlled route planning are also available. The dual-mode walkie-talkie function and eSIM support allow you to listen to music and make calls without a phone.
You can reply to messages, send emojis and control Xiaomi smart home devices directly from the watch. In China, the Xiaomi Watch S4 even works as an NFC car key. The smartwatch can be bought there for 999 CNY (129 €/140 $). It is not yet known when the watches will be available on international markets.
The Chinese also presented the Xiaomi 15, the Xiaomi 15 Pro and the Xiaomi Pad 7 and Pad 7 Pro.
