The OnePlus 13 will be released in three days, on October 31, with a very similar design to its predecessor, the OnePlus 12. Under the hood, however, a lot has changed.

OnePlus 13 with large battery and wireless magnetic charging

The OnePlus 13 will come with a 6,000 mAh battery, the company confirmed in its latest teaser. This will be the brand’s first flagship with such a high battery capacity, which is over 10% larger than the previous model. Wired charging with 100 watts of fast SuperVOOC remains the same. However, 50 watts of wireless charging now works magnetically.

In keeping with this, OnePlus is also bringing a 5,000 mAh magnetic power bank, a wireless charger with a cooling fan, a 100 watt SuperVOOC power bank and a brand new 120 watt fast GaN charger to the stage. The products can all be seen in the image above left. The OnePlus 13 will also get several official cases, which can be seen in both images and which we think look pretty snazzy. There are two wood options and a sandstone variant. And for the hardcore fans of the Chinese brand, there is apparently also a water bottle.

New BOE display

The next teasers concern the display technology of the OnePlus 13, which has traditionally been a focus in the development of OnePlus smartphones. It uses the latest and greatest BOE X2 display, a second-generation OLED panel from the company. This of course offers the usual HDR10+ and Dolby Vision features as well as a refresh rate of 120 Hz.

In addition, the panel also has glove touch support, improved Rain Touch 2.0, a kind of game touch technology for faster reactions, DC dimming at full brightness and a self-developed anti-flicker technology. Also due to the last point, the OnePlus 13 received an extended eye protection certification from TÜV Rheinland called Intelligent Eye Protection 4.0.

However, the teasers don’t tell the whole story. Last month, leaks suggested that the OnePlus 13 will feature a quad-curved display. An ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display was also rumored. Other reports also suggest that OnePlus has significantly increased the maximum brightness.

Three 50 MP cameras

The third leak comes from Chinese social media platform Weibo. According to the post, the OnePlus 13 will get a 50 MP wide-angle camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor, alongside two more 50 MP telephoto and ultra-wide-angle cameras. The telephoto lens will abandon the traditional periscope design and opt for a dual prism solution that is more compact and fits more easily into a slimmer body.

The OnePlus 13’s camera setup will once again be co-developed with Hasselblad. The 3x telephoto lens will have a 33% smaller sensor than its predecessor, which now measures 1/1.95 inches. The camera will have an f/2.6 aperture and will be circular instead of rectangular, allowing for better light capture.

The company has also published photos on its Weibo page that are supposed to show the quality of the images taken with the new cameras. Of course, the first tests will have to show what the three cameras can really do.

The smartphone will also have a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage. The first unboxing video has already appeared.
