vivo V40 Lite 5G and V40 Lite 4G debut with almost identical specs
The vivo V40e is not the only new V40 series device launching today. The vivo V40 Lite 4G and V40 Lite 5G also launched in Indonesia today. It might be difficult to tell the difference between the two Lite variants as they share the same design and key hardware aside from the chipsets.
The vivo V40 Lite 4G gets a Snapdragon 685 and 8GB of RAM. The V40 Lite 5G, on the other hand, relies on the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip and up to 12GB of RAM. Both phones have the exact same design and dimensions, including a 6.67-inch AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The panels house a 32MP front camera housed in a punch-hole cutout.
On the back, there is a 50MP main camera (IMX882) along with a 2MP depth sensor. But the highlight is vivo’s Aura Light portrait system. The new devices also come with vivo’s AI Imaging Suite, which includes AI Erase, Photo Enhance, and scanning documents from images in your camera roll.
Both smartphones launch Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14. They also have 5,000mAh batteries that support fast charging up to 80W.
The V40 Lite 4G is available in Titanium Silver, Pearl Purple, and Carbon Black. It costs IDR 3,299,000 (€205/$220) for the 8/128GB variant or IDR 3,599,000 (€213/$240) for the 8/256GB version. The V40 Lite 5G is available in Titanium Silver and Carbon Black. The price for the 8/256GB version is IDR 4,299,000 (€255/$285).
