vivo iQOO Z9s and Z9s Pro introduced
The iQOO Z9 series just got two new members – the iQOO Z9s and iQOO Z9s Pro are here. On the surface, the two smartphones have the same core specs, including 6.67-inch curved AMOLED displays. The 50MP main cameras and 5,500mAh batteries are also identical. But there are a few key differences too.
The 120Hz FHD+ displays are also similar, but the iQOO Z9s Pro’s display is significantly brighter, with a maximum brightness of up to 4,500 nits versus 1,800 nits. Both panels feature optical under-display fingerprint readers and 16MP selfie cameras in a punch-hole cutout.
The two phones also come with different chipsets. The iQOO Z9s Pro runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chip, while the iQOO Z9s makes its rounds with MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300. Each also comes with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.
On the back, the iQOO Z9s and Z9s Pro share the same 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX882 sensor, OIS, and 4K video recording. The main camera also supports features like AI Erase and AI Photo Enhance. The second camera on the Z9s Pro is an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, while the Z9s only gets a 2MP portrait camera.
Both phones launch with Funtouch OS 14 based on Android 14 with two years of Android software updates and three years of security updates. They also have IP64 protection against dust and water. The 5,500 mAh batteries charge via cable at 80 watts for the Pro and 44 watts for the standard model.
iQOO Z9s prices
The iQOO Z9s is available in Titanium Matte and Onyx Green, while the Z9s Pro is available in Luxe Marble and Flamboyant Orange, the latter of which has a vegan leather back. The iQOO Z9s starts at INR 19,999 (€214/$238) and tops out at INR 23,999 (€257/$285) for the 12/256 GB version. Open sales begin on August 29 at 12 noon on Amazon India and the iQOO online store.
The Pro model is available with 8/128 GB starting at 24,999 INR (268 €/297 $) and with 12/256 GB for 28,999 INR (311 €/345 $). The open sale starts on August 23.
