Xiaomi Poco F7 and Redmi Turbo 4: First specs unveiled
The first specs of the upcoming Xiaomi Poco F7 have surfaced in China. A tipster on Weibo has revealed some details about the Redmi Turbo 4, which will only be launched in China. However, the Turbo model will most likely launch on the international market later than the Xiaomi Poco F7. This is supported by the fact that the Poco F6 is a renamed Redmi Turbo 3.
The Xiaomi Poco F7 (and the Redmi Turbo 4) will have a “super-large battery” according to the leak, which suggests a capacity of at least 5,500 mAh. There is also a flat 1.5K display and a plastic frame, which is no big surprise. The model number of the Redmi Turbo 4 is reportedly 2412DRT0AC. The Poco smartphone will be numbered 2412DPC0AG for the global market and 2412DPC0AI for India.
Although “2412” here refers to December 2024, you should note that Xiaomi and its sub-brands don’t always stick to launching new devices in the exact month indicated by their model numbers. The Poco F6 was announced in May and its successor will likely be unveiled around the same time next year.
The Chinese tipster mentioned above also speculates that the Redmi Turbo 4 could launch with a Dimensity 8400 chipset or an underclocked Dimensity 9300 chip. That’s pure speculation at this point, though. The Poco F6 is based on a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, one of the best options for flagship-killer smartphones right now.
