Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 with better ANC thanks to Tensor A1 chip
At its big event today, Google unveiled the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, Pixel 9 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 3, and finally the Pixel Buds Pro 2. These are obviously the successors to the Pixel Buds Pro from 2022, and Google promises many improvements.
First, the new buds feature Google’s own Tensor A1 chipset, which is supposed to take active noise cancellation to a new level. In fact, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 are supposed to suppress twice as much noise in the mid-frequency range from 400 Hz to 2 kHz as the original Pixel Buds Pro. In addition, the Tensor A1 calculates the ANC configuration three million times per second to adapt it to your environment.
In addition, Google has also put some thought into the comfort of the Pixel Buds Pro 2. Google has collected no fewer than 45 million data points from different ears. The 11mm speakers support spatial audio including head tracking, and you can also use the AI assistant Gemini on the Google headphones via the Gemini mobile app.
According to Google, the new beamforming microphones, wind-resistant mesh covers and Gemini also ensure clearer calls. In addition, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 support the new Find My Device network. If you lose the buds or case, they will ring to help you find them. Finally, multipoint connectivity is also on board for connecting to more than one device.

The Pixel Buds app supports a custom five-band EQ and also provides the software updates for your buds. Google promises up to 8 hours of listening time with ANC on and 12 hours with ANC off. Including the charging case, the battery life increases to up to 30 hours with ANC and 48 hours without. The case also supports wireless charging.
The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are already available for pre-order in the colors porcelain, hazelnut, wintergreen and peony for €249/$229/£219. Shipping begins on September 26th.
