vivo X200: First pictures and technical data
The vivo X100 launched in October last year and only began its international launch in early 2024. Now we’re getting our first look at its alleged successor, the vivo X200. For one, a leak brings the first specs, and for another, a dummy unit has appeared on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
The vivo X200 seen in the images features a few different design options compared to its predecessor. These include a flat display and a side frame with beveled edges. We can also make out a fairly large camera module on the back with a shiny metal ring around it. It supposedly houses three 50MP cameras, including a Sony main camera and a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
The X200 should also have a smaller screen size than the 6.78-inch X100, although there are no details on the exact size yet. The resolution should be FHD+ and the refresh rate is 120 Hz. The device is expected to be powered by the upcoming MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. According to the first leaked Geekbench results, it will compete in the absolute premium segment.
According to a second leak from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station, the flat display will have a 1.5K resolution and symmetrical, very small bezels on all four sides. The vivo X200 will also have a custom-made, “super-large” 50 MP sensor from Sony under the main camera. The battery will be made of high-density silicon. It will store more power at the same size thanks to the higher energy density. There is an optical fingerprint sensor under the display for unlocking.
The X200 series is scheduled to launch in China in October with the X200 and X200 Pro models. The X100 only hit the stage in November, however, so we may have to wait a little longer.
