Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 launches together with Redmi K70 Ultra / 14T Pro

Last week, Lei Jun, founder and CEO of Xiaomi, confirmed that the Mix Fold 4 and Mix Flip will start this month. Today, the brand announced an exact date – the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will launch on July 19 at 7 p.m. local time in China.
Xiaomi has not yet revealed the technical specifications of the Mix Fold 4 in full detail. However, the Chinese confirmed that the foldable device will be 9.47 mm thin and weigh 226 g. The smartphone will also have a quad camera with Leica optics. Two of them are telephoto cameras, one of which will be a 5x periscope camera.

In addition, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will be IPX8 certified and thus waterproof and will have 50 watts of fast wireless charging. On top of that, the Xiaomi smartphone has two-way satellite communication.
In addition to the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, the Smart Band 9 and the Redmi K70 Ultra will also be on stage on July 19th. The Ultra is likely to go on a world tour as the Xiaomi 14T Pro following the normal pattern. The latest teaser now shows the device from all angles. Compared to the normal Redmi K70 / Poco F6 and the Redmi K70 Pro / Poco F6 Pro, there will be a number of updates. These include a new design of the camera module and a different power button.
In addition, a MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ chipset and a new 3D heat dissipation solution are haunting the rumor mill regularly. The latter should reduce the temperature of the chipset by up to 3 degrees. The resolution is said to drop to 1220p, which would be less than the QHD+ display of the K70 Pro. But it is still a 120 Hz panel.
The explanation for the downgrade could be the display type. Redmi recently announced that it had developed a new display together with TCL. The K70 Ultra is set to be the first smartphone to use this display.
